Rond Point was one of the most iconic historic bars in my native city of Buenos Aires. My mom used to take us for tea time as kids. Always dressed up to the nines, as this was a high-end establishment. It was all about the experience; the formal tea ceremony, their exclusive pâtisserie menu, the elegance.
As Rond Point closed doors many years ago, I wanted to develop a brand story based on that experience and the way that it made me feel. And ALCORTA BAR was born.
For the visual identity, I drew my inspiration from the Art Deco movement. This style was closely tied with the feeling of sophistication, so my goal was to use some of its elements (symmetry, rectilinear geometry, metallic colors) with a masculine feel to it.
